Contacts Scrubber for Outlook Release Notes

Version 3.0  (3.0.133)

·         Added the ability to use the "In Folder" field to identify which duplicate to keep

Version 3.0  (3.0.132)

·         New feature: added the ability to exclude a particular column from a merge operation

·         Fixed bug where it checked the username e-mail address on the License key before checking for the Unregistered version (so an address change was triggering an error message even on an Unregistered version)

·         Fixed bug where the COM add-in component failed to check for a valid "Mode=Scrubber" in a CRM license

·        The COM add-in now displays an informational message when "Scrub Selected Contacts" is selected on the Tools menu in Unregistered mode (instead of doing nothing)

·        Updated Scrubber for compatibility with Outlook 2007

·        Updated Scrubber for compatibility with TeamScope CRM

Version 3.0  (3.0.127.1)

·         Product renamed to "Contacts Scrubber for Outlook"

Version 3.0  (3.0.125)

·         The full registered version of Scrubber now supports the "selected items" operating inside of Outlook (via the added entry on the Outlook Tools menu) regardless of whether OutlookCRM is installed on the PC or not

·         A blank cell is now displayed when the Outlook "None" date (1/1/4501) is present; also when evaluating for a None date, honor the user's Regional date setting, as it can affect the format of the 1/1/4501 date

·         Check the "Local Machine" registry branch (HKLM) before checking the "Current User" branch (HKCU), so Scrubber can work properly if a user installation chooses to store Scrubber info in HKLM

·         A new "HidePreferences" registry setting was added -- when set to "1", this hides the Set Preferences button and disables the Preferences menu option when running inside Outlook in "selected items " mode, so users cannot alter the program's Preferences

·         Scrubber now checks for the presence of more than one Message Class within a duplicate set; if found, it displays a warning message that data within custom fields could potentially be lost if the records are merged

·         If the user is selecting two folders to scrub, when checking to make sure the two folders are different, use their EntryID's instead of the default property which equates to the folder name

·         Check for OutlookCRM Workgroups -- if they are active and the items being merged are not in the currently-active OutlookCRM folders, prompt the user with an offer to switch the Workgroup

·         Check for a valid OutlookCRM license containing "Mode=Scrubber"; if found, treat this as a fully-licensed copy of Scrubber

Version 3.0  (3.0.120)

·         The Purchase/Register menu option now appears even if product is licensed, so that users can request/record an updated license if needed.

·         The maximum number of allowable fields in a user-defined duplicate definition was increased from 50 to 100.

·         If an item cannot be read from Outlook, the key value of the item is now displayed in the error text so as to help the user track down the problem item.

·         OutlookCRM add-in: will now run if Scrubber is installed on a drive other than C:

·         OutlookCRM add-in: can now process selected items in addition to open items -- if it does not find two or more open OutlookCRM Contact or Company items, it will look to scrub two or more selected items in the current Explorer view.

Version 3.0  (3.0.119)

·         Licensing window now appears even with an invalid license, so a new license can be requested.

Version 3.0  (3.0.118)

·         Fixed a bug that occurred in the licensing procedure in certain circumstances.

Version 3.0  (3.0.116)

Version 3.0  (3.0.108)

·         License form now displays if the Scrubber icon in the About box is double-clicked.

·         A warning is issued if any Contacts in a duplicate set contain attachments, since these may be lost if they belong to a Contact that gets deleted.

Version 3.0 SP1  (3.0.105)

·         Fixed an issue in which no duplicates were found when comparing by E-mail 1 Address, even though duplicates were in fact present.

·         Fixed an error (runtime error 91) that occurred when the "Select item to keep by" option was set to "OutlookCRM Links" but OutlookCRM was not installed on the PC.

·         A field could not be removed once defined

Users can now define the fields to use in determining a match.

You now have much more flexibility in selecting what data to keep, and what to ignore, in the Categories and Body fields.

·         Improved handling of Body field text:
No longer duplicates the same text when combining the Body field across duplicate contacts.

·         When using Scrubber in conjunction with TeamScope's OutlookCRM, produces an "OutlookCRM Link Report" which reports on the numbers of transaction items linked to each duplicate.
